Graduate Student Awards: PhD Recruitment Excellence Fellowship and Dissertation Excellence Award

Graduate Student Awards: PREF and DEA PhD Recruitment Excellence Fellowship PREF is awarded annually, in two $2,500 installments ($5,000 total) during the student’s first two semesters. Providing competitive stipends is an important component to recruiting top-quality PhD students. The Gallogly College of Engineering PhD Recruitment Excellence Fellowship (PREF) program is designed to assist academic programs in the College in recruiting outstanding PhD students. Dissertation Excellence Award DEA is awarded three times a year (Spring, Summer, Fall). The award is limited to a total of $5,000, with two options for disbursement. Rewarding and encouraging excellence in research is a core value of the Gallogly College of Engineering (GCoE).
